Children’s Ministry is more than just Sunday school!
Children’s Ministry serves the infants through 5th graders of LMPC in a variety of ways.
Sunday Mornings
Nursery Rotation — Volunteers are needed to hold and play with our tiniest members. The volunteer rotation is divided into four seasonal quarters. You can sign up to serve once or twice a quarter; once a month for the year, or as often as suits your schedule.
Older 2’s, 3’s, pre-K, K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th — Two Sunday school teachers are needed in each of these age groups. We need one person to commit to the whole year to provide continuity for the children. The second teacher may also commit for the whole year, or serve for a quarter.
Subs — We know that any teacher is going to have to be away occasionally. Often parents step in and sub, but it is also nice to have a list of folks who are willing to help when needed.
Wednesday Nights
Pre-K, K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd — Two adults are needed for each class as we teach the Children’s Catechism. The children work on memorizing as well as understanding the principles behind the catechism questions.
Subs – We also need subs occasionally on Wednesday nights.
Other Opportunities
Sunday School Music — If you love to sing, we always need help leading music for kids; the pre-K & Kindergarten combine and the 1st – 3rd graders combine at each hour for a time of music before Sunday school classes begin.
Pray-Give-Go — Our Children’s Missions Program is on-going throughout the year. If you would like to be involved in projects like the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, our Missionary Prayer Program or the Children’s Missions Conference, we’d love to have your help.
