On Wednesday, April 19, we will leave the LMPC parking lot at 7:30am by comfortable vans. We have two scheduled midmorning stops before stopping for lunch at Taste of Lemon, a Southern-style restaurant, in a beautiful, former church. At the Biblical History Center in LaGrange, GA, one hour southwest of Atlanta, we will enjoy a guided tour as we explore daily life in ancient times. With both Old & New Testament exhibits, we’ll learn about life in Biblical times and see an oasis, Old Testament & New Testament tombs, altars, threshing floor, grape press, olive press, a grain silo, a village, and over 250 actual artifacts from Israel! That afternoon we will travel thirty minutes to Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA where we will check into our comfortable rooms and be able to relax or freely enjoy strolling through the gardens before rejoining as a group for dinner in the Piedmont Dining Room. The following day we will enjoy a delicious breakfast in the Piedmont Dining Room before heading out to tour the 2,500 acres of springtime splendor, including brilliant yellow daffodils, vibrant wildflowers and one of the world’s largest displays of azaleas! Before beginning our journey home, we will meet for lunch at the Callaway Garden’s Country Kitchen Restaurant. The cost is $225 per person, which includes tickets, meals, hotel and transportation.
